Story:
In a forest lived a hedgehog. An ordinary hedgehog, with needles, however, he was very sad. Nobody wanted to be friends with him. All the animals would tell him: “How to be friends with you? It is not possible either to hug you or to play tag – you are prickly.” And the hedgehog again felt sad. And then one day he was running along the path and was carrying an apple on his back. Suddenly an animal jumps towards him and says: “Hello! What a beautiful apple you have!” The hedgehog is not greedy, so he says: “Help yourself. By the way, who are you?” The animal took the apple and replied: “Thank you! I am a raccoon. I am quite new to your forest. And I have blackberry – please, take it.” And he gets a berry from somewhere. The hedgehog tasted the blackberry – it was tasty. But the hedgehog still remains sad. The raccoon asks: “And why are you so sad?” - “Nobody wants to be friends with me. They all keep saying, I am too prickly. When I hug somebody, or play catch-up with somebody – I do prickle all of them, if I am able to catch with them up, of course.” The raccoon says: “And try to hug me. I have a thick hair. When somebody is hugging me, I hardly feel anything. The mother says – I am thick-skinned.” The hedgehog approached the raccoon and softly hugged him. The raccoon started giggling. “What’s with you?” asks the hedgehog. “I don’t know – it tickles me. Let’s do it again,” answers the raccoon. Now, it was a turn of the hedgehog to hug the raccoon very tightly. And the raccoon started to roar with laughter. The same did the hedgehog. So, they were hugging each other and laughing for a while. And after they have had a good laugh, they fell directly to the path and started to eat up the apple: the hedgehog would bite, then the raccoon, then again the hedgehog. In such a way, they finished it.
Then the raccoon says: “Why can’t we be friends? I never had a friend with whom it would be so much fun as with you.” The hedgehog replies: “But sure. I did not have any friends at all.” From that time, the hedgehog and the raccoon became friends, and every time they were hugging each other, or playing catch-up, they giggled. And hedgehog did not feel sad anymore, since he had a friend.
